RAC Trackstar Help
Hi guys
my parents have bought a motorhome that cost as much as a 3bed semi. And all the insurance companies are asking for gps based trackers that work in europe.
There are 2 main options
Phantom, which is the cheapest but seems a little shady in my opinion.
and RAC Trackstar which is the favourable one, Problem is im finding it difficult to get someone to install it in a motorhome, lots of head scratching and ermming and arring, Tracker wouldnt be a problem but all the insurance company want gps with european coverage.
anyone know any good RAC Trackstar installers I can talk to ?. ie not GAP.

no problem getting tracker installed but the insurance companies for motorhomes used in europe dont approve tracker. RAC trackstar is the most popular one on their lists.
Found a place on the web called car alarms uk, they say they will do it, anyone used them before ?

tell your parents to ask their insurance company if they will accept the tracker horizon. We fit these on motorhomes all the time as they have european coverage & we have not known any insuranance company to refuse them. Call us on 0121 359 1617 if you have any problems or need any more details for the insurance company.

Yeah thanks Richard, problem is the insurance company they are using are less than half the premium (and its a pretty big premium) of the one that will take the Horizon, its a shame but there isnt another option that makes sense.
You had better do a good job with the alarm you are fiting on it or my dad will never let me hear the end of it. :-).
