Hi everybody

I had one of those toad alarms on my civic SiR, well until the tyre blew out on a damm bend!! (another story)
I did have a few problems, firstly for some reason it just wouldn't work occasionally (it happened about 4 times) You would try and arm the alarm and nothing, then 30 minutes later it would be fine again.

And secondly the ultrasonics are crap, (or possibly fitted wrong) I made that stupid mistake of leaving my phone on my seat by mistake one night. Yep and you've guessed it I woke up about 2am after hearing a bang. And after looking out of the window I assumed it wasn't my car because the alarm wasn't going off. WRONG IT WAS.

At this point I demanded that the unit was replaced and after a lot of screaming and shouting they agreed

hey at least the car wasn't nicked

I have just fitted a Cobra 7928 to my FTO and it's great no problems at all. I haven’t tested it by breaking the window though, but it has got glass break sensors. For more info look at this site

I have a Toad Ai606 on my MY94 WRX, no major problems other than the ultrasonics are very easily confused especially in the small hours of the morning.

I have got a good deal on a Toad Ai606 from my original installer of me old one!
I'd rather get the original installer to rip his own handywork don't u agree?
£300 inc ripping out of old and refitting of new !
