I dont know if there is any difference between the MY04 alarm & any others but can you program the alarm to beep when you set the alarm & to beep when you turn it off ????

If its the same as the MY03 then it can be self programmed to beep.

Its buttons 6 & 7 (the manual says "for future use").

Button 7 is beep on

Button 6 is beep off

Button * adjusts loudness

Just follow the sequence in section 5 of the book on how to programme. If I can do it anyone can
