Cheap trackers
#1
Hi everyone
Just got off the phone with Toad. My insurance gave me the number and I had to tell them I was with either Priveledge or Tescos.
The Tracker Monitor cost me £359 with a £99 subscription. This didn't seem to bad considering they come to you to fit and the group buy was £350 in Birmingham.

Cheers - getting delivery of my 03 WRX later this month. Insuring though Tescos and need tracker monitor. Dealerships fit RAC trackstar - anyone know what the spec. difference is? It costs c.£120 more.

Trackster is the best as far as the police are concerned. Its more accurate, you dont need a police car with a monitor in it within a 5 mile radius.
You get all the benefits of tracker ie- police stop the vehicle if its being driven. Rac will arrange to transport car back to you.
I did a lot of research before deciding which to go for, but the local bobbies swung it for me!!

This means you know roughly where your tracker is. I was under the impression that even the buyer wasnt to know where the tracker was. I spoke to a few tracker dealers who offered a mobile alarm service but refused to fit the tracker mobile as I would know roughly where the tracker was.
