I bought an STI7 about a month ago which has the CAT1 alarm, is this ok or is it advisable to replace with something better?
If it should be replaced then what do you recommend and how much does it cost?

The recommendation is to also add a disklok and a Clifford Black Jax unit (anti hijacking) which will cost you around 200 quid (for the clifford) and 70 ish for the disklok (from halfords).

If you look in Costco's at Lakeside, they do the Disklock for £60 which is the cheapest i've seen it!!
I have one on my WRX, its a pain to store but easy to fit!!
