I have a clifford concept 500
read the manual and it is not clear to me but...............
I want to turn on my dual zone sensor, the inside zone works fine, but I thought the second zone was on but does not seem to work.
Has the install turned it off for any reason and how can I switch it back on as a default.
also the horn does not work, what wire has the fitter pulled off
any ideas what the probable cause is.

U will require ur master remote. U have a button on the side and 4 buttons on the front.
Proximity Sensor:
Level shift x 3 (Button on the side)
Internal
Press Left button once (this will select internal setting)
To increase sensitivity press Right button
Decrease increase sensitivity press Left button
The alarm will make bleeping sounds.
External
bottom button to select External setting
To increase sensitivity press Right button
Decrease increase sensitivity press Left button
To exit press the top button.
I hope this makes sense. Remember to press the level shift button.

Do you have after market tinted windows? The sensor doesn't like tints and won't go through them allegedly. Mine seems abit tempremental when it comes to the external sensor. Sometimes it throws a fit, other times it ignores me.

U need to do it with the alarm off and the doors closed.
When I set mine up I first selected the internal setting, then I select the exterior setting.
I think it does not like it if u jump straight to the external setting.
If it is correctly selected, the alarm chirps will have different pitch sounds.
Higher the pitch sound = higher sensitivity.
Once u know how, it is dead easy to set-up.
the dealers do recommend to let the alarm settle down for a couple of days, before any adjustamnets are made. This only applies to new installs.
Good luck

is this a problem with dual zone alarms, shall I just forget the outer zone as its a pain?

I will play some more, I also think it was the interior zone that picked it up
Because that was the one I turned down to stop it, I can't always seem to make the outside zone wake up for adjustment.
It makes such a noise and pisses the neighbours off when I get it wrong, have to park up in the middle of nowhere to adjust it.
so I take it is do able with the garage door problem.
Is there a way to test the outside zone
i.e. its six beeps up from the lowest tone or do you just keep walking up to it.
am I hoping to much to expect it creates a 3" zone all round the windows when adjusted properly to keep folk away but still let you park in car parking bays.

I was sent a page from the manual and it says at the bottom of the page Concept 500/799
Don’t know what it means but seems 500 specific.
Had a few problems sorting it, but have got it in the end, some of the problem is setting the internal zone to strong and this goes out side the glass.
You seem to have to wake the internal zone and then set the external zone, just setting it upwards once and then returning it to the original setting.
Then go on to set the external Zone, so that mass/body at the window sets it off.
Remember the zones seem to grow over a period of time, I also noticed that after trying to set it up to many times in one go, it seems not to function.
Bit of a pig, but I was the internal zone that set the alarm off when the garage door was opened. This is a problem as you are not always sure what zone is being set.
Easy when you no how, I’m a bl$&dy expert now

Got to the bottom of this one.
Note: if the outer or inner prox goes off, it sets of the audio sensor if its set to high.
And the answer to my problem the unit was duff, dealer RAM at Wakefield sorted it out no problem, replaced whole unit under warrantee, only two months old
Sorted!
