I recommend 16" bolts, that go right through your wall, and then bolt them up from the other side to hold the shelf in place(may require understanding neighbours if its on your adjoining wall).

This should give it sufficient strength to hold your collection of Royal Doulton Cottages of the UK.

Velcro. You can adjust it then when one side is abit low.
