Default Air flow meter

Ive just had the rac out to the car as it was reving up to 2k & then down as low as 200 then it would cut out as soon as i pulled up to lights etc.

The guy seems to think its the air flow meter as he diconected & it ran fine.

Thing is the car is mapped between 350 to 380 bhp & i was wondering will this need to re scailed?? or is this the maf im thinking of? Im not to clued up on subarus as i was a evo man before hand.

Thanks in advance for all help

I think that your air flow meter and maf are the same thing. I have seen posts stating that if you are able to unplug it and the car keeps running then its knackered.

Is your car a classic or newage. I have a spare newage maf you can try. It could also be the idle control valve. Am just north of Glasgow.
