Hello,

Just a message to say 'hello' to everyone, I joined the Forum a couple of weeks back to get advise on a couple of cars, and I bought one last week. I look forward to bumping into some of you at events soon or sitting alongside you in a traffic jam(more likely). I am based in Kirkcaldy, Fife.

I bought a silver Type R Version 4. I really like the car, it is going into Falkland performance for a once over on Monday, then hopefully if all is well, will be out playing in it all week. Drove the car up from Birmingham, the car is on standard shocks and still nearly shook my fillings out!! Enjoyed the overtaking on the A1 though!!

What's it like on the motorway with that close ratio box? Must be reving quite high?

I'll maybe see you at Crail or Knockhill in the future. I used to have a Terzo, and I'm looking for another Scooby now.

You should join the SIDC forums if you aren't a member already - Subaru Impreza Drivers Club -> Scottish Scoobies

There are a lot more local folk on there.

Car ran fine on the Motorway. Got 300 miles from 44 Litres which isn't great, but for a one off long drive - not too bad! It seemed weird revving at about 4-4.5k around 80mph because it just accelerated as though I'd dropped to third gear everytime I moved my right foot in fifth.
Nice car - yet to get the hang of it.
