Nearest subaru specialist to Greenock
I'm gonna have to get the car booked into a Subaru specialist after I pick it up for a cam belt and general check over.
Can anyone recommend a garage or specialist they use in Inverclyde/ Renfrewshire area.
If there aren't any I'll get it into Auto-tec who are a well recommended garage and deal with lots of exotic stuff.

the guy a got the car from put it in to s&s in ayr i have a bill for £700 for the belt, my pal dose all my work on the car now if you want i can ask him how much to fit the belt?

That would be great, although I never imagined a cam belt replacement coming up at 700 quid, how many hours work is there in changing the belt and tensioner?

You're right, £700 is a rip off.
Give Hypertech a phone - 01324 812212. I've always had brilliant service from them every time I've used them: which is very often!
Edited to say - they are in Bonnybridge by the way. Don't know if that's too far? But thought i'd mention them anyway - I travel from near Lanark to go to them.

Kenneth Brown Motor Engineers in Hillington, been fiddling with Subaru's since before most people had heard of them. Looks after many grp A & N Rally cars and does the Transmission work on my race car

Don't go to S&S they are the biggest rip off merchants in the world!! When I first got my car it wasn't running quite right so I took it to them, they charged me £200 for changing my oil and spark plugs, but never actually fixed the problem!!
Get your car in to Greersport, they aren't too far away from Greenock, theyre in Glengarnock, which is kinda stuck onto the side of Beith. They are excellent, I'd never take my car anywhere else.

I agree, GreerSport is probably closest. and they'll definitely be the cheapest.
They are definitely specialists, having built competitive rally cars for years
I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Give them a call.
