Question

I'm looking for somewhere to buy a set of tyres at the right price in Glasgow. Have trued Performance Tyres (Anniesland Ind Estate) but they don't do Goodyear or Bridgestone (I gave up at that point as they didn't seem to be living up to their name!).

ANy suggestions gratefully received!

Gordon

I'd recommend Jim Dixon Tyres (01236 720 205) Cumbernauld (village) not exactly in Glasgow, but a whole lot closer than Tyres Northampton.

Strange - I've just bought a set of Goodyear F1's at Performance Tyres in Carmunnock (part of the same group as Anniesland). I managed to get a good price as well - £368 all inc. They were also able to get Bridgestone's SO3's but for nearly £100 more. Did not regret my choice.

Colin Armstrong from Ultimate in Ayr can get you anything you want. I needed a set of Proxy T1s (18"s) the next day and they arrived as promised. The price was very good as well. Well chuffed with the service. Give him a call on 01292 280087.

Cheers

After Robertio's recomendation previously in this thread i gave Jim Dickson a call.

Result was two Toyo Proxes T1-S 205/50x16 for grand sum £140 balanced and fitted today.Well chuffed!

Very friendly, excellent service and as for price, i've seen dodgy make tyres sell elsewhere for these prices never mind Toyos,I'll be back.

I had to put the Centre Cat back in my wifes car for its MOT today. Took the magnex off to find the gaskets were shagged. Called Mr Dickson to see if he could sell me some, he remembered me from when I bought my tyres and told me to come down and help myself, gratis. Long live customer service

car now re MOTed as of today
