Aberdeen - Lawrence of Kemnay
Hi folks
Bit of a favour to ask.
I am thinking of buying a car from this dealership, but the problem is i am from Stoke on Trent, about 7 hours drive south of Aberdeen.
I was wondering if anyone has come across this garage and has any feedback. It's a ford main dealer and i was just after some info about them really.
I have not viewed the car i am buying and would basically just drive up and pick it up and the only info i have is what the garage has said.
Trying to find out if the are reputable or not basically.
Thanks in advanced.
Cheers

They've certainly been around a long time, indeed at one stage in the mid 1990's they were one of Vauxhall's top dealers in the UK (when they had the Vx franchise).
I know of no reason to doubt them.

They are not that far away from where I live (about 4 - 5 miles). We bought my wife's last car from them when it was a Vauxhall franchise, and didn't have any problems, and haven't heard any horror stories.
They are a family run business which seem to give good customer service.
I could have a look at a car for you, but it wouldn't be until next weekend (dark when I leave for work in the morning, and dark by the time I get home).

i bought my wrx with 9k on the clock from there nice service, friendly staff etc, car serviced, even got a tank of fuel all fine for best part of a year until i took it to get serviced at brian downies in kemnay (subaru specialist, top guy did a fantastic job on the car ) he said the oil was wrong and they put a cheap *** filter in no doubt a ford one which could have caused problems,
all i know is i will be going to brian downie for all future work to the scoob

Guys - thanks for the great response.
Funnily enough a few years ago I bought my first scoob from Aberdeen and some guys off scoobynet went out to look at it for me an the report i got back was brilliant.
It's at times like these when forums like this come into there own.
They have a golf for sale and i am umming and arrrring about whether to bite the bullett and buy it. The garage have been nothing but helpful to be honest, but i just wanted to make sure they checked out ok. 1000 mile round trip is quite a journey.
Cheers guys
