Default Most rugged / amazing part of Scotland?

Dear scotchies

The missus and I have been round a couple of areas of Scotland that we really liked. Inverness - > Skye and around Skye one time, and by Loch Awe / Oban another. Where should we visit next? The Outer Hebredes look stunning, what do you think?

Wester Ross and Sutherland!

From Kyle of Lochalsh-Ullapool and Ullapool north again right round the top to Thurso and back again.

Fantastic roads for the scoob too

Glasgow is very rugged !

Did you do Loch Lomond to Fort William in your first trip ? Glencoe and surrounds is awfy bonnie.

As per Gus, around Ullapool ~ very remote, beautifully bleak, and no other cars , so yes, good for our Scoobs !

PS Did you hear we beat France ?!

As has been said Ullapool is lovely then up round by Cape Wrath/Tongue and along the coast to sunny Thurso. Then go to Orkney which is stunning , you will not believe how much there is to see in Orkney.

Also enjoyed time spent on Islay.

Less distance but just as nice is the Perth-Braemar-Aviemore Road. Awesome scenery and a nice tight twisty road.
