Was anyone there?

Masses of spectators on SS1. I'm hoping someone got footage of my car going through - 205Gti #131, Taking out 2 fence posts entering the spectator area then going completely off crossing the flying finish on the grass just about hitting the t/c board

I was up ther on Thurs Fri and Sat But came home early sun mourning. Fantastic rally for spectators My mother inlaw lives on the Buxley stage at manderson mill and it passes her front door which is taped off. I took my son to Watch at the little Swinton crossroads Stage on Sat only 3 Crashes on the first stage but some excellent Jumping . This has got to be the best rally to watch in the UK and I will travel from Kent to the Borders every year.

P.S have over 100 photos of cars in rally plus 3 hours video might have your car somewere what no were you ?

There was 5 of us down for the full weekend.
We were also at the finish on Sunday for Stage 1 / 3.

But I recall at least a dozen cars going off or having near misses over that flying finish, so your not alone.

Sunday had more action in a few stages than there was over the full Friday / Saturday of the Internation runners.

Sorry no photos.

I was #131, mettalic grey 205 with no driver side headlight or indicator

I know another 205 finished in a similar manner to me and the stage was closed when run as stage 3 due to an accident at the flying finish.

I actually spun on the approach to little swinton crossroads but even quite slow hit the bumpstops front and back going over. Then broke a driveshaft later that stage

RB5 245 - I've got loads of photos and I think I got your incident with the fence posts on video clip. I'll check and email to you.

I got some great photos at Swinton crossroads - probably the best in 4 years of going.

Tony - I must have a similar drive to you - 450 miles, but well worth it !!

I have incar footage of my spin approaching swinton which I can post a link to on google when I get it edited. Unfortunately the camera had slipped on to night mode for the 1st 2 stages meaning it's all white screen.
