Best place in Aberdeen for Geometry??
#1
Anyone know a decent place in Aberdeen to have my Geometry done? Does anyone use the Prodrive setting's and what are they? Would rather the car was oversteering than understeering.
Cheers, Steve.

Steve,
unfortunately there aren't many places with the correct equipment in Aberdeen, and the necessary experience of setting up camber etc.
Ones I know of are:
Town and County (Subaru dealers)
and
Specialist Cars (VW dealers)
however both quote about £70 - £90 for the service which takes a few hours. I believe that Overton at Dyce can also provide this service at a cheaper cost as well, though you would need to tell them what settings you wanted, but they were booked up for about a week in advance when I called them (perhaps a good sign ?).
I ended up taking the car to FPC in Glenrothes, as they would do the work on a Saturday, which meant not taking time off work

I'm right behind you on this Steve, maybe we should go and see Mr Mcdonald and see if his main man Colin Meston can see both of our cars (more if anybody else wants it done?) at a group discount, etc
The only downside I can see with the Prodrive set up is the excess wear on the outer rim of the tyres, ie the tyres need replacing more often (that, of course, means nothing to a man of your means!)
I'll try and pop round to you at home sometime today

I ended up going to FPC in Glenrothes, cos they know exactly what they are doing. Smart Refinishers in Dyce have got the gear but I don't know how well they would do it.

I spoke to Scott MacDonald at Specialist cars today. He is going to talk to their service manager to see if they can help us out. If anyone is interested let me know.
Cheers, Steve.
