Talking

At Alford this Sunday. Only £5 to take part.

Turn up any time from about 10am onwards, and do as amny runs on the sprint track as you want. All welcome, and turnout will probably be quite low, so plenty of track time

Sounds good,

Might be tempted to bring the 'Teg along.

Not that cheap when you factor in 2 tanks of super!

Whats the track like John?

Diablo

Small oval with a figure of 8. Two laps per timed run. Smooth surface. Pretty forgiving on mistakes.

You can turn up any time from 10am tomorrow, and the event will be going on until about 4.

There will be lots of different cars there, but if it stays damp, then I think the Imprezas will be untouchable

If it dries out, then the Tutmobile will be hard to beat, unlike last time!

Just think of it as the drifting oval at Crail, but with much more grip and you'll be alright

No points for style, or cutting the grass though ;-)

It looked like fun but I was too much of a ***** to go on track, cos I didn't like the look of the barriers, old car chassis and assorted other things to hit.

I think Tut got the fastest time of the day (1:12 ish) in the pishing down rain with the roof off

Hi John

Had the correct map in this time, so would have been interesting. At least you would have been drier.

Let me know when you are on track again. Are you doing Cadwell next week.

Thanks Pete

Had to drive down the road to get a signal, error, as her indoors then required my prescence, so could not say goodbye.

I did get rather wet, but what the hell, that is what happens when you buy a rollerskate. Good experience driving the track that wet, but pity the TVRs were not there.

Cheers for the offer of the piccies.

It was £5 for 3 runs, each run was 3 laps (2 x ovals and 1 figure of 8).

John,

Stuart is correct. I'm going to try and book this venue for us next year, and I guess that costs will be as low as this.

6 runs for £10 is good value I would say
