I tried all the usual suspects a couple of weeks back. Tesco were very good at £650ish but wanted a tracker, eventullay went for Direct Line £680. Admiral wanted £950 for a 10 month policy!
(Car is MY00 with 17's, I'm 27, 5 points, wife is 24)
Hope this helps

I got a great deal with Liverpool Victoria who trade as Frizzells try this number
0870 5492200 - Its the renewal hotline but Iam sure they will keep you right. I have loads of mods and they are very relaxed about them. Good luck.

I have to agree with Dave Brown. I am with Subaru Privilege, best quote I got last summer. Just had to claim of insurance due to some Pratt crashing into me, so far happy with the way it has been handled. Just waiting for my excess back. If this all goes well I will be staying with them next year.

When renewing my insurance last December, I found Direct Line to be offering me the best overall policy/deal (excess, cost, monthly payments, etc.)
More recently I called them to inform them that I was changing from 15" to 16" wheels, they said that they would make a note of this on the system but there would be no additional charge on the policy.
Incidentally, I paid £541 but I'm in my thirties.
