Due to a recent virus, my email has been totally lost , apologies to those who mailed me to say they were coming

The meet will take place at the rear of the UGC Cinema in Dundee at 10am on Sunday morning. Its a large car park and should be ideal. I plan to take a short drive out around some local windys and back into Dunders, route to follow. The UGC is what used to be the Virgin Cinema, situated 3 miles this side of the Perth end of the Kingsway (if that makes any sense )

Please just post below to say youll be there and Ill try and get some maps etc out to you by then.

Thanks for all the interest, see you next weekend.

Regards

Richie

We can make it later if you want, its just it allows people to do stuff later in the day.

Thinking of run up A90 turning off onto glamys castle road and running back into dundee. It brings you back out near Camperdown.

Regards

Rich

Take it the gearbox is OK Sam, car sounded awesome when you drove past me today

Ok peeps, had a recce today and the planned route is:

Out of cinema car park, R at first r/bout, L at next r/bout onto Kingsway.

A90 towards Forfar.

L off A90, signpost Kirriemuir/Glamis Castle.

At A94, L towards Coupar Angus

Through Meigle

L onto B954 signpost Dundee

50 Yds L onto A923 signpost Dundee

Through Newtyle, Auchterhouse, Muirhead and Birkhill back to Dundee.

The road brings you out where we started at Camperdown park next to the Cinema.

Hope you all concur, but some cracking roads (IMHO) some with decent visibilty through the bends.

Regards

Richie

PS Ill be bringing copies of the route to the meet for anyone who doesnt know the area.

PPS Can anyone bring a digital camera and upload the images onto the BBS etc?

I'll have my digital camera along with me, and will post the pictures on my webpage.

I'm also going to try some in-car video as well.

Can we have the speed camera's marked on the route as well, as I know we pass at least 2 on the A90 before the 1st turn off.

If you mean the 2 at the MacDonalds on the A90, were off before that. There are none on that route back in to the city. There can be a bit of police action so eyes peeled.

Regards

Richie

Richie

There is a Gatso about a 1/4 mile past the first steep hill out of Dundee. It is about halfway between the roundaboutat the bottom of the hill and the turning off the A90 to Kirriemuir/Glamis.

Richie,
Nice route for a quick blast, I actually stay just outside Meigle so I know the route quite well.
A quick word of warning though, I was caught speeding a couple of months back on the A94 between Glamis and Meigle (almost a ban), there are some monster straights and it is very easy to get into three figure speeds, so lets be careful.
Never seen any Police on the Meigle to Dundee road though

Good idea Dave,

Anyone travelling from Edinburgh area wishing to travel in convoy??

A good meeting place would be at the Mac D's on south side on the Forth Bridge at around 9am. It's only 40 minutes from there to Dundee, being law abiding!!

Cool

Is anyone travelling down from Aberdeen?, if so perhaps we could meet up and travel down in convoy.

Still not sure if I can go, but it looks promising

Sam, you can get me on 07771 762962.

Yes it is the MacD's next to the Texaco petrol station.

I'll be there about 09:00 to 09:15

If I don't hear from you I'll see you there.

Breezy, I've got a white evo 6, just de-cat'd and taking a bit of getting used to
