Subaru Stolen in Glasgow today!
Hi folks
I was down in glasgow staying with my sister for the weekend and returned to the car park to head for home this afternoon to find my car had been stolen 2hrs after I had last seen it. It is a White my96 wrx v-ltd with rear tints,v4 rear spoiler and my98 silver wheels. It was stolen from small car park behind Ashton Lane in the west end around 4.00pm today, aprox 40mins before i came out to get it. The police had already been informed by a member of the public who thought they saw it being stolen. They are currently looking for it but I havent heard anything and don't hold much hope of good news. As I'm sure the majority of you can understand I am distraught at losing my pride & joy. If by any chance anyone in the area had seen or heard anything in the area could they please either contact myself through here or the Partick police office on 0141 532 3500.
Thanks alot in advance for taking the time to read this

Really sorry to hear that mate... Hope you either get the car back un-harmed or, if worst case, you get a generous payout and the scumbags that took it get to play mummys and daddies with a big black cell-mate called Leeroy.
Cheers,
Grant

Grant, sorry to here about the car. I maybe assume you didnty have one, but did you have a tracker fitted.
I live about 40 miles from you and we could probably agree that up here I feel much safer with the car. when ever I go to Glasgow for nights out I always park it in the Buchanan Street Car Park as it gets locked in for the night. No cars in or out.
when I lived in Glasgow on Denistoun, I decided not to have a car because my mate had a L reg 1.4 astra. it got stolen 4 times in 2 weeks. The worst bit is that it cost him a fortune to get it from recovery depot. the guys opened and started it with screw driver and drove until they ran out of petrol.
Sorry Grant. The good thing is that it will stand out on the roads. The motorway police will input the reg in to a database and if they drive past it, it will inform them.
Good luck!

No I didnt have a tracker, like you say living up here there aren't the same wories with security although obviously this would have a huge benifit for going elsewhere. I usually leave it in the NCP car park your talking about but I knew this weekend I was going to be in and out a few times to braehead etc and with my sister staying in the west end, this would of been a hasstle. I thought with the array of mercs, range rovers and the odd porsche in the car park I used it must be safe enough. How daft a thought was that eh! Do you drive a subaru up here I may have seen in transit?
Cheers

Thanks very much for the replies folks. Glad you think the photo shows it well as I've given the same photo to my insurance company for my claim. Hopefully they have the same opinions as you boys!
RB5 69, where abouts are you? Would I be right in assuming by your name you drive an RB5 as they are rare around here bound to of seen you in the passing.
Again thanks for the comments, Greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately it's probably made it's way to Ireland or has been completely stripped for parts I'll certainly keep an eye out for it around Lanarkshire/West Lothian when I'm out and about.

Thanks very much bud, much appreciated!
Have had no progress on getting car back and insurance are totaly f**king me over with their settlement offers with figures twice what I paid them as a premium 10 months ago. Looks like my venture into scooby ownership may have been a short lived experience unless they wisen up!
