Default my indifferent holiday!

just back after 10 days in donegal ireland.
great crack pissed every night unbelievable tallent like heaven compared to dundee on a sat!
well took my beast a pug 306 survived the whole trip although the first day i was their i took the car along a wall.
half way through the week i discovered a beach which u were allowed to drive on so a wee bit of fun was had.
as this beach was on my route as i headed home after leaving rather late i decided one last blast cant hurt so on i go sideways then pop crunch bang car limps to a hault get out and look to see half my tyre half way up the beach then u try imaging trying to jack a car on nice soft sand which just did not happen any way finally drove out of the bach and changed the wheel and had to go rather fast to catch the ferry!

so good points about a holiday in ireland
nice women and lots of them
good roads
smoking is banned in public places
none or very little police who dont care anyway
no neds who start fights
women loved my accent
fuel about 15p a litre cheaper
diesel is about 25p cheaper!

bad points about a holiday in ireland
some of the roads are a joke so many potholes
3 pints cost 12 euros
provisional drivers do not have to be accompanied

sorry am rather bored and just thought id give u a good reason for a handy cheap holiday!

Hi mate !

The non smoking sounds good ! Would be nice to come home after a night on the lash and not stink of *** smoke !!

Would love to take the car over to Ireland for a holiday though. Maybe one day.

Where'd you stay ? Camping ? B&B's ?

stayed at a family holiday house so no rent to pay. its a lovely wee cottage thats where i scratched the car was paying to much attention to the bottle of heineken in my hand!
i have aunts and uncles over their as thats where my family is from.
ferry cost 200 but cost was split between three altough i must have spent 1000 euros in the 10 days but a holiday to remember and be over their more often.
anyone know if it counts as outside britain? as could be handy for tax avoidance once i start work.
one problem these days jonny u will not be able to full appreciate the women

West Cork's the best bit ......

Lovely part of the world, Skul especially

Brilliant for a cycling or camping holiday.... just be careful when you pull left into the slow lane to let someone overtake (aye right ) that there isn't some gypsy selling potatoes in his barrow in it

It happened to me !!

I found Dublin too like Edinburgh, same feel and Temple Bar area was just like Rose Street in Edinburgh - not different enough for me to feel I was on holiday - nice place tho...plus I didn't have my car so that was crap

Drove down to Killarney a few years ago to help out on the Killarney Historic. Absolutely brilliant time. Drove over Moll's Gap at 40mph cos any faster and the bumps throw you off.
Ireland is great! Irish rally drivers are mental!
