Optimax/Ultimate - near Oban
Hello folks ..
I'm heading away with the family to Mull for a week soon. Travelling down
from Aberdeen to get the Ferry across to Mull for a week
Once thing bothering me is petrol I know I can get Optimax in Perth on the way but there doesn't seem to be any Optimax (preferred)/Ultimate (if needs must) stations near Oban (I tried the Shell Website).
Perth->Oban->Mull->Tobermory and back is about 220 ish. Should be OK
but would like to have the car full-ish for heading across.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Doofus.

So I'm talking to myself again ... had a doh! moment and figured all I need to do is buy myself a couple of bottles of Millers Octance Booster
However since I'm not familiar with this stuff .. If I have 1/4- /2 tank of Optimax and fill up with boggo 95 how much Millers would I need to stick in?
Quite happy to stick in the whole bottle. I am running an MY00 + decat DP + dawes (up around 17 PSI) so have the centre cat still in place.
What would you guys recommend?
Cheers,
Doofus.

Fuels around Oban:
Nearest Optimax coming from Perth is CRIEFF. (yup. )
Nearest Optimax coming from Stirling is DOUNE.
Nearest BP Ultimate is Fort William (48 miles north)
the ONLY premium unleaded in Oban is ESSO SUPER
(the Esso station about 1.5 miles north of Oban. It's 24 hour opening though.)
They have only had it for about 2 years! Used to be 95RON here only.
Only on 1 pump; back right as you're facing the shop.
Still campaigning the Shell garage in Oban town to get Optimax (they have LPG & LRP.... but none of the golden juice.... )

Hope you have a great holiday, despite our crap Argyll fuel options!
Best food in Tobermory... Jo Currie (& husband Dave) at Highland Cottage (Breadalbane Street).
I recommend.
Go hungry!!!!

P.S. I have no connection with them, other than being a frequent customer

Theres ESSO super in Fort William as well - one pump. The highlands are a struggle for the good stuff
Had to do multiple runs if you fancy sight seeing - guy in the station wondered why after 4 hours I was back for another tank.
