Default DASTEK Visit

I'm popping in tomorrow lunchtime for a run and to find out how much BHP I'm bagging. First time I've done it - any tips for things to watch out for, take care on etc.??? Do you have to tell your insurance company etc.?? Does an engineer drive your car on the rolling road??

I've got a WRXPPP and should have 265bhp and not going to be happy if I don't. Will let you know how it goes.

Cheers

Martin.

Let us know if a WRX PPP makes 265 - I may be surprised.

Sorry chaps - had to cancel it due to not being able to get away at lunchtime. Not sure about re-booking as guy I work beside said its not too clever for the engine, no matter how big the fan is it can't compensate for being on the road as normal. This was a worry I had beforehand and not going to bother risking it. I'm pretty sure I've got the 265 at least anyway.

Cheers

Mmmmmmmm,

Loads of cars are Rolling Roaded without any harm being done at all - the cooling at Dastek is supposed to be good. It only lasts about 10 - 15 seconds anyway.

Also, it is very difficult to tell what power you have. MANY people are surprised on the rollers - good and bad.

I would DEFINATELY re-book as your PPP may not be as good as you think. Lots of PPP sob stories.

Just stick a £450 Decat on and get the same results as PPP, and save yourself 1200quid.

Well said Paul.

How is the sale of your car - is it still going?

Hopefully know more in a few weeks Brian, still filling out the applications?

I am hoping someone is looking over me, and give me a damm good salary. Dont want to sell, but if it comes to it needs must. May have a saving grace though, getting the house revalued in a few weeks, and i have a sneaky suspiscion there maybe a few quid coming our way, if the case, party time.lol.

Me too,

Nearly nine months I've had mine now and don't really want to think about the cost of it including all the extras etc!!!
