Thumbs up CASH FOR KIDS AT SIDC MOTOR FAIR ALFORD, 20TH JUNE

I've managed to get something set up to raise some money for 'cash for kids' at Northsound Radio

Basically my passenger seat will be free for anyone that wants to come round the circuit in an Elise - in return for a donation to the above charity. The company I work for (RBS) have agreed to also donate between £100 & £500 depending on how much I raise. Even tho this is not an official timed event, the driving will of course be spirited!

In essence we need as many people as possible at the event - so we can raise lots of cash for a really good cause, and also to support the SIDC (I appreciate there is a few other events on this weekend, so not all will manage). My car will be stickered up with the cash for kids logo so it should be nice and easy to spot.

There is coverage on northsound for the event (not sure when to be honest) and there's a small bit on the website
http://www.northsound2.co.uk . Go into cash for kids then into weekly update.

I'm doing Dreadnought on tue night at KH, I'll leave the stickers on for that so if anyone wants a few pax laps, same script as above, small donation for the cause - I'll add all the money up next week and let you know the total

Tim

Would love to Kev - what time tho? I was going to be going quite early as I've been involved in some of the organising (namely burger & beer man )

Tim

P.S. cat replacement now fitted - no doubt you'll have heard it.......

TVR garage in Callander, see here http://www.dreadnought-tvr.co.uk/news.php

They organise **** hot track nights - very sensible (all be it quick) driving. Great mixture of cars as well, all are welcome.

Cheers Tim, I might make it up on Tues.

Have we met as there are just as many smarties as scoobs at SIDC KH days.

Apologies if we have. My brain hurts with having to remember so many cars, so many faces (some I could forget if I could!!) and names/usernames!!!

Good luck with a good cause.

We'll be leaving at around 0900 for the meet at Kingswells. I'm gonna phone up Dreadnought today to see if there are any places still available. It'll be an ideal test as the car is getting remapped today from 1.2 bar to 1.4 bar......

Well done Tim

You won't be the only car raising money for the cash for kids, as I'm sure most people will be more than happy to take people out for passenger laps (driving at 85 - 90% only for safety reasons).

I've also got a metal puzzle thing (the challenge of the rings!), which people can pay 50p to try and separate the parts within a minute (or £1 for 3 minutes). Fastest time of the day will win £20!!

Hope to see loads of people there on the day

Was thinking of getting there about 8.15-8.30 sarah, mainly cos burger man was going to be there at that time - and of course I would need to test his produce before he started selling it to anyone

What was ur thoughts?

That sounds about right to me Tim. I don't really know how long it takes to get to Alford but I guess I will find out today when we go and meet John to help start setting up.

Tim well done for that you gave my lad a lap - He still hasn't been able to get the smile off his face.

Thanks again - all for a good cause too.

I think between Tim, Eric and Paul who were doing most of the charity passenger laps, and the face painting, we managed to raise £160 for Cash for Kids.

Tim's employer will match this, taking the total up to over £300

Well done to everyone involved!

John
