Default Someone planing to nick my car?? Got you on cctv mate!!

Dont know if it is someone from the Scoobynet community, someone passing by chance or someone eyeing up the motor for a spot of theiving but there was a DBM classic came down my street last night and stopped next to my car, went down the road and turned and came back and stopped for a look again. Oh, it was 11.30pm too
It dont sound bad too you guys I suppose , but my street is off the beaten track and it dont take you anywhere.

I might be reading too much into it but I just like to be sure.
If it was you or you know the guys( there was two of them) and I have the reg No.L22 **B( Iknow the full reg as its on the cctv camera that watches the car if it should be parked on the street, hardly ever)then I dont mind.
But if it happens again I will contact the cops and let them know the score.

Might be a bit drastic but there are far too many Scoobies going missing to just let it pass without taking note.

Hi, sorry to have alarmed you, my girlfriend stays two streets down and told me about your car after we saw your old type ra at dicksons so being a bit of an impreza anorak i decided to take a look. will make sure to keep away from your street in future, just a thought but perhaps thieves would use something a little quieter, more inconspicuous? also check the focus on your cctv, last letters a s and my girlfriend resents being called a bloke(she prefers slim, athletic build!)
I do understand your paranoia, have had mine for four years but perhaps a little extreme reaction?
by the way, nice looking car! although who would be looking to nick it when they already had a DBM classic with gold OZs!

Scooby222, no problem matey. Wasn't being a di#k, just wanted to check the Scoobynet for any news on the owner of the car.
I know its unlikely a scooby driver would nick another scooby but my mate had an RS turbo pinched up the road and the guys who nicked it had a cossie.

P.s the footage was poor and I assumed it was a bloke, could say the passenger had blonde hair ? No offence to your girl, honest.

Feel free to pop by any time again now I know who you are.

And Steve'O boy, you hit the nail on the head...cant beat a good BBQ.

Time to wax on and off like a karaty kid.

Hi soob, fortunately my girlfriend has decided to spare your life, on the grounds that any scooby driver cant be bad, even a mk11!!! although,i have been considering updating, howd you find the new shape? without wishing for a sermon on the gospel according to sti-04,was thinking about one of those or perhaps a wrx ppp or even a move to the darkside(purely for comparison of course)
but a rota of barbecues sounds good, i have zero cooking skills but endless talent for buying beer and food!
see you about

Scooby222, just seen your post about buying a newer Scooby.
I really like my Buggy , its really comfy, quiet(even with the blitz),well built and all the rest but it just isnt a patch on the classics i dont think. This is my third Scoob and all I can say is that when I sell this one i'm going back to the classic again. It just aint the Scooby the original one is, never will be.
The thing about the Bug eyes is that you need to spend a few quid on them to get them looking better. As they are out the box they are awfull I think. But thats just me. Others will disagree. When it comes to it its your own choice that you need to go with.

If it was me with the cash to buy a Scooby for the price of a good Buggy then I would put it on something like a STI 5 ot the likes. Streets ahead.

HI SOOB

P.s if you want to come up for a run in mine then give me a shout sometime. But to be fair its had about 15K spent on it trying to improve it.!!So it aint standard.

Cheers HI SOOB, il be glad to take you up on that offer sometime when work allows,i guess with 15k spent on it 'aint standard' is a bit of an understatement!
i know what you mean,i love the look and rawness of the classics but i like the piece of mind of new and warranty especially on 20k miles a year! but i still miss my last one,a much better car all round though in theory identical, hmm. sadly modified last year courtesy of standing water mid corner and a farmers wall just outside auchterarder,if i still had it theres no way id be parting with it but such is life!
O well, i guess itl just have to be a series of test drives to see whats what. such a shame!

absolutely identical(no coincidence)! DBM my00,full mongoose decat and k&n panel filter and gold 16" p1 alloys, absobloodylutely fantastic sounded like a rally car,all banging and popping on overrun and waaay quicker than this one.
in fact, there was a fast ford fan locally who bought an escort cossie and following a 'spirited' run where i thought he wasnt trying he sold it and bought a rather nice green classic! its a wonderful feeling spreading the good word!
i hide out in crieff, use the kinkell bridge road to come over to auchterarder, suits the scoob perfectly especially late at nite. apart from the f*****g deer that is.
whats going to replace your buggy? another impreza, or is there a pull from a darker force?

Nah. No dark side for me. Been to buy an Evo twice now and both times came home with a Scooby.
The plans just now are for a Range Rover or simillar 4#4 jeep and then get another Ra for myself later in the year.Need to sell the MX5 and the Scooby first though. I dont really need a car as I have a works mota to kick around in. Also lining up a big project on the house so funds will be better put into something that makes money , not wastes it.
