Been warned off ITG talizman because of the contamination issue.
Stripped the induction bits off it yesterday and there was a fair amount of oily **** all the way thro it, as I said earlier it was a standard panel that was in it that is in a pretty bad way.
Is it ok to clean the MAF sensor , i didnt, just the kak round about it, hope nobody saw me , i had it in my hand like it was the Crown Jewels or summat.
Open to persusion/discussion regarding the ITG!!

Fair do's, although I was under the impression that the ITG was considered as the best around?
Scoobysport certainly recommend as the better one.
I personally haven't fitted it as although it came with the car, I cuurently have a K&N induction kit fitted.

Ran ITG for 2 years without any problems. Looked like new and air box was clean when I replaced it with K&N.
I think they may be dodgy on the 99-00 cars with the weak MAFs.
MAF can be cleaned with a spray of brake cleaner but I haven't tried it myself.
