W.T.F!!!!!!!
just spoke to Halleys in milngavie. they quoted me for an oil +filter change approx £100. does this seem a little excessive???
also for fitting new front discs/ pads and braided lines (all round) approx £200 probably more when they do the lines as they dont know how long it will take. i have bought all the parts myself and only need them fitted. does anyone think i am getting slightly shafted????? or does anyone know of another good garage in the glasgow area that could do the work this week. eaglesham could'nt fit me in.
cheers

Does seem a tad steep and I won't imagine they'll have had much work to do there yet ? I was in there on Sunday having a wee sniff around - nice spanking new STi8 and the usual standard WRX's. They had one silver classic wagon with big a$$ed exhaust

Stand and deliver !!
Does seem a bit steep. I got my whole 22.5k service for £117 last week at Nobles.
This included supply and fitting of filter, oil, bulb and screenwash, a "strip and clean brakes" plus the usual service checks.
Parts accounted for approx £55 of the bill (well 50 once you take the SIDC 10% off).

I've heard that Halleys in Milngavie aint got a clue m8.
I went looking for Greersport yesterday and couldn't find it.
If anyone knows where it is could you let me know.
Is it in Glengarnock or Kilbirnie? - heard a nasty rumour that's where they hang out.

Bill Greer is some guy. I would thoroughly recommend him.
Last week my fuel pump went kaput on the way home from work. I phoned the RAC and Greersport. Bill said he'd stay open till the RAC gets my car there.
Five hours and a half hours later at 22:30 I got there. He fitted a new fuel pump for an unbelievably low price. Now thats what I call service and dedication to his customers.

just back from greersport and they have excelled themselves again . Alan changed both front discs/ pads. put on braided lines, filled with 5.1 fluid. did oil change and filter. then took the rear pads off to clean up the caliper housing as they were sticking abit. and the cost??? lets just say i was very pleasantly surprised. Stick your main dealers and their sky high prices.
