Thumbs up Scotsman Motoring Section today

Article about repairing written off cars and putting them back on the road talks about a bloke David Morgan (a computer programmer ) who has bought 3 written off scoobys and put them back on the road:
An STi import;
A nearly new Wagon (sold for £2k profit !! );
and has now got a P1 for less than £12k
Not bad!

Think he's got other ways of making money when it comes to selling Vauxhall Astra's as well

Always did mean to have a quiet word with him about that

Won't be forgotten though

You can't believe everything you read in the papers !!

(it was only actually 2 write offs - the sti wasn't written off, just a stolen recovered ! and the P1 was suspected engine damage, which was just a dented pulley )

The Astra was a perfectly good car, being sold at a very nice price. Just 'cos I got a good discount off the new price shoudn't really affect the resale value IMHO !!

I've still got over 3k's worth of GM points if you fancy buying new shape Astra btw !

I'm still contemplating buying a vx (using the 3k GM points), keeping it for 6 months and selling again. Not sure what the depreciation would be though. New Astra looks quite nice too (in the pics at least).
I guess I should really seel one car first though huh ??!!??
