Don't know about their sales, servicing and show room staff but the two guys I spoke to in the parts department are complete MUPPETS. Gave them the engine code, vin no etc "so they could cross refer against their vast database" and ended up suppliying me with parts for...................wait for it............... a subaru justy !!!!!!

Derek McCrae the sales guy is good - fairly straight down the line. Will let you know about servicing when I get it done.
When the new showroom is open it will feel less like Nissan and more like Subaru.
I did specifically ask about technicians when I bought the car and asked if they were Nissan technicians who woul be working on my car. They said no, they had 2 fully qualified Subaru technicians.

well it sounds daft, but the MY04 has a square bootlock & unofficialy the software to take it to 320 BHP with PPP, though this has yet to be confirmed (the 320 that is).

You should get her rolling roaded soon after you get her to let you know what she is reall putting out. Some people are very disappointed and others are pleasantly surprised.
Are there any other changes - suspension, interior etc?

At the last rolling road an STI with Prodrive made about 250 BHP on the rollers, below a standard STI and not much different from my WRX standard that day.
A series of ECU faults were later diagnosed - however the cars all feel quick on the road so telling the difference between say 240 and 260 BHP would be pretty difficult. It just gives you peace of mind.

Just tell her that the STI is faster followed by a quick demonstration of the "hissing dragon" (ie the turbo) under the bonnet - works for me - mine is worried about getting in he car and would need a lump sum before she would even drive it. Good in some ways.

Star Performance in Glenrothes - check out one of the Scotland threads here and at SIDC forums. There is one next Sunday - you should come along to see what it is all about - anyone can come - often folk come along without going on the rolling road.

George who used to work at Falkland is now working at Swifts in Whitburn, working at something called Extreme motorsport - he does my intermediate oil services and he knows his way round an Impreza. John Swift who runs Swifts has an EVO VI.

Maybe not Spooks - how things with the beast - note a cry for ECUTEK - thinking of crazy performance were we?!? Are you sure it is not an EKOTEK you want - one of those fuel line saver/performance enhancing things you put in the middle of your fuel line in the engine bay with magnets in it to move particles more efficiently in your fuel - it's a lax power favourite I think!

Brian, I didn't know that set-up was up and running at Swifts. What services do they offer? Handy having someone you can trust on your doorstep.
Although I have cheesed John off in the past, over a set of tyres I mucked him about with, which I feel bad about and I'm not too proud off, as the whole squad at Swifts will bend over backwards to help you!!

To anyone who has replied here, especially in the negative:
My car is going in next Monday for it's first 10,000 mile service. How many of the people who have left negative comments have actually used the technicians at Drive for repair work or servicing - the showroom is a non-existant heap but what about the servicing?!?

Yeah,
1. What is the fitted price on a Prodrive Spring Kit for a 2003 WRX four door?
and
2. What type of oil do they use for 10,000 mile service.
Was there this morning and forgot to ask.
Thanks.

I didn't mention your name though - now you have named yourself!! The STI would have been superb though - did you get it tested after that day and the faults were fixed?
Glad to hear of the ENORMOUS power of the Focus. I tell you one thing it will be better at than any SUBARU - staying away from the local Shell or Texaco or whatever - oh yeah and servicing too!
All the best Chris,
Brian.

Hi Brian,
I did go back to the rollers, and it made 301bhp with 299lb ft torque, so all was well in the end.
Will have to make do with the fukus just now, but watch out for a t25 eating evo's (lol) perhaps later this year.
Cheers (toot toot)
Chris
