My car seems to be only firing on 2, maybe 3 and running really rich, idle is all over the place and sounds to be missfiring badly if any throttle is applied. Happened on the motorway, nothing on the knocklink. Any ideas?
I stuck this in scotland since i'm sitting at the side of the road in perth waiting for a mate so please don't move it.

Didn't want to reply earlier as you must be on a mobile connection. Either that a very long ethernet cable!!
Edited to add RB5s have a tendency to blow MAFs and go into limp mode. Just ask drb5!!

LOL, it don't sound MAF to me, i had one go before. Still maybe it is though. Engine actually cut out on the motorway and seems to only be firing on 2, which i'd think was strange for a maf failure.
Anyone got a spare MAF in the glasgow area i could borrow to try?
I got towed back to a mates luckily enough.
