I managed to strip a thread on the alloy rear calliper mount on my motorbike - replacement part is not extortionate (£35) but helicoiling would be quicker and should be a lot cheaper.
Anyone recommend a place close to Edinburgh that would carry this sort of work out. A 2 minute job I'd reckon for anyone that knows their stuff.
I'd thought of East Coast Engineering in Sighthill Ind Est ?

Yup east of scotland are good at this kinda thang but they are normally chockers, so you might need to wait.

I want to get this done this week if poss so that I can get a chance to ride the damn bike before the really grotty weather arrives so I might contact them to see how quick it could be fitted in.

East Coast Eng. will have this fixed by Tues pm.
Andy - I told Dougie you were hassling for the manifold - his answer contained 2 words, 1 of which was 'off' !

He did say it with a smile though !
