Default Sti brembo rethread / helicoil

Hi,
Anyone know or recommend a place close by to Manchester / North West that will re thread or helicoil my gold brembo calipers?

Yeah cheers, it may have to come to that. I was hoping on a quick turnaround but I guess it's worth the wait & having it done right first time.

Cheers mate. That's a quick turnaround. If you don't mind me asking how much did it roughly cost? I only need 1 re threading helicoiled however it may be prudent doing it as a pair.

A helicoil set costs buttons and its easy done yourself.

I'd be too worried about messing the caliper up for good! The kits are cheap as you say tho.

We can do them no problem. We would do them the day they arrive and return same/next day depending on if they are delivered in time for a same day collection.

Drill it wrong and it's scrap but yes helicoil kits are reasonably priced.

Well my garage took them down to scoobyworx & apparently they're fcukd the helicoil won't take. Not sure what to do with them now. Looks like I may have to fork out for a new set.

Yes we helicoiled one of the bleed screws but just nipping the bleed screw pulls the helicoil out as the metal that it's sat in is crumbly and not strong enough to hold the helicoil.

It's the first caliper I've not been able to save.
