I'm returning my car to standard, so am going to be gradually selling off the tasty bits. First to be offered is the ECUTEK 2.5 ecu. It was a John Banks remap and is currently on a my00 uk/euro car (classic shape). It made a big difference to the car, even when running a standard exhaust. For those who don't know, it gives more low down torque, better top end power, and the turbo spools up earlier too . As with all John's remaps, it's been done safely and isn't an 'all out' remap, so reliability will not be an issue.
Once I sell this, next thing on my shopping list is an ecutek for my P1, as I was so impressed with it (but it won't fit )
More info on the ecutek and mapping is available on :
www.ecutek.co.uk
The map is a semi-custom map developed by John Banks which he has refined over the years to give better performance than a tek2, but not quit as 'tailored' as a tek3.
I'll need your ecu in exchange as well, as the car probably won't go too well without it . This is why I've posted in Scotland forum, as it will obviously be easier to exchange if we can meet somewhere. John always recommends fitting a boost gauge when fitting a remap, so ideally you should have one to monitor boost. A knocklink is always a reasonable idea (I may have one of these for sale shortly too !!)
For the ECU I'm asking £350 (plus your ECU).
I probably won't be checking my mail till tomorrow, but post up here and I'll check when I get back from the pub tonight !!
Cheers
Dave

Had a few people asking why I'm selling. The car is up for sale and I'm wanting to reduce the price a bit, so am taking off the tasty bits to sell off seperately. They don't always add to the value, and I guess they put some people off as they think the cars been thrashed. If anyone has ever seen sexy-blue-scoob driving, they'd know this isn't the case, but not everyone knows that !!
Anyone interested at a lower price ?? Any questions ?? It really does improve the overall driveability of the car, and gives a noticeable hike to top end power.
Anyone ??

The P1 is a keeper at the moment. It's the wagon that's up for sale !
More and more miles means the scooby is becoming a bit less practical . I hate that word !!! Plus I've heard that only tossers drive wagons these days !!!
I'll check my mail later, or mail again to Wendy's address (sexy-blue-scoob).
Cheers

If you're nervous about fitting, just bring the car to me, and I'll do the swap over. It's a pretty easy job.
Open to sensible offers before I open it up to the general 'FOR SALE' vultures !!! I don't imagine it will stay on there for long !!
Dave
p.s. If you're interested please post here, as I won't be able to access my mail easily till Tuesday morning.
