Anybody got any leads on where to get a good deal on some decent tyres in Edinburgh or nearby, such as Toyo proxes, Goodyear F1's etc?

Cool

I've never had any luck buying locally, but my last 2 purchase have been :

F1's from micheldever (website)
and
S02's from blackcircles (website)

Blackcircles also arrange for them to be fitted and included that in their price.
With micheldever you need to arrancge your own fitting (£5-£10 per tyre usually).

Might also be worth trying mytyres.net, although I've never tried them personally.

HTH

Depends on the car i suppose.

I had 2's on the cossie and they were great, changed to 3's ,and it was all over the place, really wandered a lot.

Probably find it's only weird sizes of 2's left.

You can still get S02s in 225/45x17, which is ideal for the new style STi

On 16's they are pure dead crap

However, some peeps have found them to be good on 17"s and above
