i was at their showroom at the weekend. Not to shabby at all!
However, they leave a LOT to be desired with the presentatiion of their cars. All the nice new ones were looking good but the P1, that you're forced to look at on the way up the drive to the showroom, is in a shocking state! The brakes are so rusted they'll be absolutely no use whatsoever on a test drive and the car was generally in a filthy road grime covered state. It was enough to make my friend, who specifically went there to look at the P1, leave with out even speaking to a salesperson. It's very out of character for T&C to be so lax about the cleanliness of their cars as every time i've been to the porsche garage with our car it's been the definition of clinically clean. Surely T&C wouldn't treat one dealership poorer than it's neighbour?
If this constructive criticism reaches the right people at T&C then i hope it'll help them. After all, one day i may even buy a scoob!!

Town and County have extended us an open invite to celebrate the opening of their new Aberdeen showroom on Sunday 8th June from 12pm - 4pm.
There are plans to have the latest spec Subaru WRC car there in the showroom as well as the full line up of Subaru cars.
Light refreshments and snacks will be served throughout the afternoon.
There will also be a roadshow (hosted by a WRX owning DJ!) by the local radio station (Northsound) throughout the afternoon.
So they can judge numbers attending, can you please send me an e-mail to let me know you'll be coming, and how mnay people you'll be taking with you (partners, kids, etc.)
All welcome
Cheers
John

Talking of Houston, I'll be somewhere over the Atlantic heading there on the 8th June and hence won't make it to the T&C opening.
Fancy meeting up for a pint?

Boyakasha,
I understand that but i still don;t see why they would leave such a desirable car in such a poor state. I'll be heading up that way again as another friend is interested in a Forester 4x4 so i hope to see the P1 in a more saleable condition. I would have thought it made common sense to keep the vehicles on sale looking good and driving nicely as that's really what the impreza is all about....the drive.
I used to work in the motor trade (my father had a few motorbike dealerships and the Mercedes dealerships for N E Scotland) and i've never seen a sales tactic like this before. What made it worse on the day i saw it was that it was in amongst (or nearby) the brand new range which made it look even worse!
I just hope the car gets a good drive and clean soon as i'm beginning to feel sorry for it! I may even offer to do it myself!!!
