Moses,
I'm Steven_RW from MLR... was good to meet you. The event wasn't a social one for me I was there for some track time. I had a good time. When we all meet up in a couple of weekends time I'll have more time to chat. I saw your red and white evo a mile away and spotted you shortly afterwards

Aye it was a good session. I think I was the only one stupid enough not to bring a jacket but when I got home a few miles along the road, it was too hot
Anyway, good to see everyone again. and then there's the ones I couldn't find to speak to
I've got the photos in for processing, so they should be up on monday/tuesday night. Although half of them were Steven's & Moses' EVo's Oh, and a few spins as well you can bet your life I'll be posting them up
Until the next time...

Something new.
Something older.
Something from the dark side.
Something for the hairdresser!
Something small.
Something a little mad!
Pics ar a bit blurred so I haven't bothered with the plates.
If you want them edited I can do so.

Sorry I didn't get the chance to speak to you but at least you got a flash. Your EVO looks the business. Skye had a kids birthday party to get to in Dundee for 10;30, which we just managed in time. Hope you all had as good a day as we had. The action looked as if it was hotting up as we left. Roll on the next one. You going to the SS-R Knockhill night in June?

Moses and crush....
thanks for the comments guys. Had a really good time and even managed to drive home in the car!!! Im quite glad the rain came down as it meant i had brake pads and tyres...
The car is quite interesting to drive considering I have only had it for a few weeks now... I never knew that escort cossie was behind me as i would like to have seen how fast it was... me being an ex-rs boy and all that!
It was amusing tip-toeing round the track in the wet... before in th dry you could be quite aggresive then the rain came down and it was 100% line based tidy steering otherwise progress would have been rather limited followed by an off track excursion.
I must say the scooby lot know how to run a track day.. lots of good cars and basically track etiquette was really good. In the wet I think I pretty much passed everything ( not a boast at all, as I'm still a noob in the Evo ) Whereas in the dry it was a bit harder as alot of people were on full slicks and my raod tyres were getting rather upset.
Funny thing is... i told people on the mitsibushi site than my rsturbo was faster than a good not to heavily modded evo 6... and after checking video footage I can say that the rsturbo ran a 1 second faster lap time. They cannot argue about driver as I drove both ... I reckon a 1 min 2 is there in the EVO for the taking with a little bit more practice as I only managed about 15 laps or so in the dry and was still learning the car and circuit again.
To the chap that posted the picture of the darkside.. many thanks ...

Cheers Dug
The RA was one of the spinners at the hairpin. Whoever it was was trying to powerslide round it every lap towards the end.
What was that Mercedes? an AMG? it sounded so sweet powering out the hairpin

I had a chat with the guy with the white type RA scooby that was powersliding at the hairpin all the time. He wouldnt let me past either and as the rules stated it was overtaking on straights only. I have it on video. Anyhows later after we chatted we were out in the wet and I caught him up. Sat behind him for a lap waiting and then when we came off the chicane I was all over his car. Then entering clarks I was all over him on the exit and flashed twice and asked to be let passed. He pulled to the right but didn't lift at all. I just left it nailed and did a flat shift from third to fourth just for the occasion and got alongside. Then it was just a matter of braking and ain't no-one out braking me ( said in a dumb macho voice lol!!! ) so i just waited till he braked and sailed past. Then we went into the hairpin and on the exit he spun out... all on tape.
Anyhows the chap seemed perfectly amiable off the track just didn't seem to notice he was holding us up.
When someone ends up behind me even if its cos someone infront is holding me up I like to let them past and then if i can stay with them I'm as fast or faster, rather than just able to hold them up
Still reckon track ettiquette in general was really good
tip-toeing in the wet was well amusing!
PS. StoneyGinger, excellent selection of pics!!

Apart from that was a great day
