Mods please leave for possible repair locally

Cr4pped my pants the night

Switched on heater to clear window and..........."steam everywhere"

Windows fogged up worse than ever.Turned to cold then steam stopped!!Back to hot again STEAM every where!

No sign of steam under bonnet

What could be the cause of this? Heater Matrix gone? How big a job is this? and has anyone else experienced this?

All help and advise please

Unhappy

Any water in the footwells?

Sounds like the matrix right enough. It's a dash out job i reckon, though i haven't done one before.

I had a wee feel around under there in the back of centre area and i found the odd damp spots up the down low at the back FINAR FINAR

What do you think couple of hours for T&C?

Yep, mine did exactly that - is it a kinda bluey mist? Check in the passenger footwell for damp carpets (mine pissed coolant in the missus's handbag, which went down really well ).
Also, check for deposits where the coolant pipes enter the firewall from the engine bay into the cabin. For a running repair, the heater matrix can be disconnected by connecting these two pipes together.

IIRC, mine was £400 or so to get fixed. Hope we are wrong and it is something else....

Edit to say, yep it's a dash out job. A LOT of work

Having said that, it sounds like you will be getting value for your warranty claim.
