Just been told that I have been successful in applying for voluntary redundancy at my work

Now have 3 months to find another job and my family and I would like to relocate to Aberdeen.

John S helped me a while back and gave me a few places to contact i.e. Bruce Russel at AAA etc but thought I see if anybody knew of any opportunities/places to try for employment ??

I've got 7 yrs experience in C/C++/Unix/Windows in a Telecoms environment which I wouldn't mind getting out of

Any help much appreciated.

Hey Richard .... just got fed up I suppose. Had enough of the crap in here

...... hopefully I can use the pay off to fund a move nearer family

Have you found anything yet? Manufacturing figures were near 50% cuts

I got a 'get out of jail free' and am still here - still not sure if that is a good thing or not......so long as the company has enough money left to pay me for my 9 years service when the time comes.......

Oooooh, didn't know that ... the Edinburgh market must be awash with Software Engineers at the mo so I'm hoping a move further up will mean that there is less competition.

Don't joke about the company not having the money to pay you 9 yrs ... I've heard a few people express the same concern

Have you heard of anybody who wen't last time getting a job ?
