I bought a P1 from them about 4 months ago and lately I was thinking " these brakes aren't too good ". I know that P1 brakes are pretty cr@p anyway but they were way worse than normal.
I gave them a quick eyeball and thay looked in bad shape so I dropped the car off at Town and County Subaru in Aberdeen (5 days later was the earliest they could get me in).
I have only had the car for 4 months and I had only covered 1600 miles since I bought it. The car is sitting on 25,000 miles and has had its 30,000 mile service done before I bought it.
When I went to collect it they told me that the discs and pads were finished and that it was going to cost me around £450. NO WAY !!
I asked for the manager and after a heated debate he eventually agreed that they would cover the cost of the brakes.
I feel that i shouldn't have to go into a place like a respected Subaru dealership and have to point out to them that a £400 bill 4 months after buying the car was unacceptable. It gets me worked up and pi$$ed off having to go into places like this and fight for every penny.
I have owned a BMW in the past and when you go into a BMW dealership they treat you like royalty (car washed...the lot)and you get none of the problems that I have had with Subaru.
This is not a dig at Subaru but Subaru need to make sure that Franchises like Town and County keep up a high standard so we can all be proud to own one. At the moment the Aberdeen branch of Town and County are terrible and need to get their finger out.
I'm now going through another saga with them but that is another story,

there was nothing wrong with its contents ????? People should know the truth if they have bought a used Scoob from town and county. I'd like to think that I only post factual things and I'm not on this forum to pi55 people off !!!
ps Woosh - i don't work near the Dee,
Calum, Black CTR, Aberdeen ( responsible poster)

"Neil,
The point of the post was IMHO to identify to potential buyers the FACT with testiments that Caulders service is non existent as is their quality of vehicles ?
Now the purpose of a BBS is to keep the users upto date, how many folk are going to thank you if they spend £k on a runt from the offending company, only to find out that information was available BUT was removed from scoobynet ?
It won`t stand the BBS in good stead either would it ??
The case that the statements are backed up with FACTUAL experiences surely this removes the libellous content ? No ?
I`d be most appeciative of a reply on this.
Thanks
Pete "
Likewise I wouldn't mind learning why my honest post was deleted especially if I'd bought a demonstrator from T&C ! Anyone with me on this one ?

Calum, it was removed as it did contain a personal insult and other comments which could have been taken as been potentially libellous/slanderous. Unfortunately sometimes actions can appear to be heavy handed, but Scoobynet is not in a position to fight lengthy and costly court cases.
Scoobynet has been warned before by companies and persons (I hasten to add that not necessarily T&C) over comments posted in this very forum.
Hope you understand our position,
Miles

Boyakasha, Mr ******* I assume!
If so I went to RGC as well as you but was 2 years above you (M8's with David Auld (3 doors down from your mums) and Simon Cowie (4 doors down))
Hows the car! having fun yet with its measly 265bhp - you need 325 M8!

PS Can you edit my surname out please, cheers.

Ah fellow RGC'ers, nice to see so many folk turn out to be car nuts... I blame Manny Dewar, he drives a 944 with 993Turbo rims, pretty cool for an old duffer like him..mucho repecto..
