As per topic. I'm going away with my other (better?) half for the weekend to Loch Ness. Quite fancy nipping in to Inverness for one or two of the nights for food. My girlfriends a vegetarian, but i'm not so fussy

Cheers for any advice,

Chris

There is a good Mexican called IGUANA WANA. It is situated up the street adjacent to the railway station on the left.

Thumbs up

Darkforce funny you should ask!
The best meal I've ever had was in the 'La Riviera' restaurant situated in the Glen Moriston Town House Hotel, 20 Ness Bank, Inverness IV2 4SF. 01463 223777.

Check out their website http://www.glenmoriston.com/

You won't be dissapointed.

Not quite in Inverness but not too far away. The Loch Ness Clansman Hotel, was there last week for lunch and the food was very nice and an ideal place for taking some pictures.

GIRVANS. Great choise and excellent service. (Jimmy Girvan was the Scottish Rally Champion in 1990). Just thought I'd chuck that in.

I Live in Inverness and would Highly recommend 'The Mustard Seed' on Bank St or like the above mentioned 'Shapla' also on Bank St both situated overlooking the River or Cafe No1 which is on Castle street.

Hi all,

Just to say a big thanks to all those that replied to this. In the end we went to Cafe 1 on Saturday night and Girvans for Sunday lunch - both were excellent.

I had never been to Inverness before, but really liked it and will no doubt return. The B&B we stayed in on the edge of Loch Ness was very good too.
