Thinking of adding an extra cat2 transponder immobiliser to the scooby (never be too careful with these things!), i've got one sitting in the box here just need to have it installed.
Anyone recommended either glasgow or further west down the M8 way? Also any idea of price? Needs to be someone thatcham certified so I can get the certificate signed etc (even though I'll probably never need it but I might as well!).

Prosound in Great Western Road, Glasgow.
Owners name is John Hamilton.
0141 579 1110
Biased cause he's a mate but became that way after seeing the std of care and workmanship he puts into installations. Always used and recommended him for best part of 10 years now and never had an issue.
Yes he's certificated

Ok mate cheers, will probably give him a call Monday. Any idea of a rough price for fitting these things? I got one done a few years ago in my other car for £20 but knew the guy well and he's since moved out the country so I'm not under any illusion it will be that cheap again!

Honestly don't know what he would charge to fit an owners supplied Cat 2.
Cost of fitting may put you off, cause Cat 2's are quite cheap to buy?
Most places (and he can be included in this i would imagine) prefer to supply and fit there own units to be honest, but at the end of the day, there's no harm in asking the question.
I'm only recommending him cause the standard of installation is second to none (IMHO) and I can tell you, i've seen a few dodgy installations in my time and they were so called *approved*
