I had my Euro Sti7 serviced by Brian Downie last week. They did a great job, did some of the little jobs I had been putting off for me, and very reasonable too.

He shows a keen interest in the cars, more so than any Subaru dealer I've ever visited, and also more knowledgeable.

I am not in cahoots with the guy, just a happy customer. I'll definetly be going back - this week in fact - new brake pads required..

He has Delta Dash (all models) for fault diagnosis.

Does he service cars that he hasn't sold?

If so, a useful bit of info as my classic is approaching its 67.5K service.

Yes, I never bought my Sti from him and he serviced it. Refreshing to get good service, having gone to T&C previously.

I think he's an agent for Ecutek now also. He carries stock of HKS filters and various other things.

He's the boy to go for if you want a no nonsense straight taking and helpful service. He has many Scooby contacts all over the country as well if you wants bits and pieces supplied.

He is doing my Green Pheasant catcher on Thursday.

Seems like a non-bull****ter to me.

What did he charge you for a full service if you don,t mind? I was going to go to the subaru dealer Aird motors north of Inverness but might be worth visiting Brian if he knows his stuff.

I collected my car from Brian yesterday after it 45K mile service.

He did an excellent job and is clearly very knowledgeable, sorting out various minor bits on the car on the way, including an O2 fault on the ECU. He did an ECU reset, which is also good.

He uses all the right lubricants, including some special gearbox oil, which has made a big difference to my gearbox (thanks).

The price was very reasonable, and certainly much cheaper that some other garages I could mention. It was good to get an SIDC discount too.

Finally Brian is a very straight guy who provides a personal service to his customers. Highly recommended.
