Busy this weekend mate, otherwise I'd be up well for it, just to see if having a Skyline has improved your driving

Not sure I'd want to punish my back so soon after having the op tho.

No worries.. you've probably got a point about your back, it can take a bit of a pounding !!

My drivings just as bad with the Skyline, I can just let the computers correct it now rather than relying on luck !!

What's happened to Kenny these days ?? Did he create a new alias after the pounding he got on the 'fuel surge' posting ?? Haven't seen a post from him for ages, and he used to live on here !! (maybe his boss found out and added a blocker to their firewall !!! )

Maybe next time with the karting anyway......

I would love to manage along but I have broken my hand.

While it is getting less painful every day I still need to wait and see how it will be nearer w/e.

Was at last one and it is great fun.

BTW I killed him 'cause he said we were soap dodgers!!!

Sure Kenny will appear sometime soon ... think his net access is restricted at work (like mine supposedly )

I know i'm not invited but I can't make it anyway ... so there

Theo...... why oh why is that car not sold yet? Every day I tell myself "DO NOT GO AND SEE THE BANK MANAGER, DO NOT GO AND SEE THE BANK MANAGER, YOUR SCOOB IS FAST AND BLUE ENOUGH AS IT IS"

Kenny is off work this week and has never mentioned going to the karting on Saturday. I'll be on the phone to him later and find out.

Cheers

PS Can you please go outside and sabotage those temporary lights at Faimilehead crossroads

Oops - didn't realise you were from Roslin !! Apologies - I can understand your distress !! (no offence to Penicuikers meant obviously - don't want my tyres slashed or anything !!! )

Don't start me about the lights are Fairmilehead ! I've got 3 sets between my house and Currie now !! Do Scottish Water have to replace ALL their pipes at the same time ???

I blame the planners myself.. they're bound to have something to do with it I reckon !!

Anyway, hopefully catch you at the next event... whatever that may be...

Cheers

I thought it was Scottish Gas mate, summat to do with that big explosion that destroyed a house and killed the whole family. I think the all the pipes have to be replaced that were laid between a certain timeframe.

And I have to suffer them too, the wife works at the nursery just on the corner of Oxgangs Road and Colinton so I get stuck, burbling along at a snails pace when I pick her up.

Kart man

LOL at the Penicuickers bit I did go to school there though and accumulated some good mates along the way... so a few of them ain't too bad

Theo

On a more serious note

The problem is not buying your car. Have spoken to Kenny about your car last night, it sounds perfect, especially with your new turbo

My problem is selling the current one If you can think of anyone that would want a DMB 1999 (V Reg), fully colour coded, 4dr turbo with 83k on the clock FSSH.

Now THAT is the problem

Feckin Roadworks at the bottom of Liberton Brae now as well, just to screw up my trip IN to town as well as Fairmilehead on the way OUT. Looks like I'll take to the old road bike if this carries on

SiPie,

Welcome to meet up and I can take you for a blast in it, promised Kenny first dibs in the passenger seat tho

She pulls really well now, 1.3bar (on a cold day, which is everyday up here ) all the way to the redline. For once, you actually get thrown back into your seat.

I'm really dreading downsizing
Done it before (Mk5 XR3i 130PS to a 1.0L Fiesta when I bought my first flat) and I nearly cried on the drive home....no electric toys, sunroof, decent stereo and no f-king power.

Theo...

I know exactly what you mean. I went from a Honda prelude 2.2 v-tec to a Renault Laguna 2.0 RXE and it was painful to say the least! But the nightmare only lasted 6 months before the draw of the scoob grabbed me

I'm doing some 'serious' thinking on this one and will be in touch ASAP.

Kenny's blown my chances of Nobles ever taking my car as as a trade in (cheers mate ) so will try and determine how to get rid of mine privately and somehow get more than £5 for it.

Cheers

Just so you know- (Environmental Anorak On)

Its Scottish Water who are digging up roads- last ditch attempt to meet with European legislation (Water Framework Directive). They need to replace or line all our old, faulty, and lead pipes.

If you think this is bad- wait until you get your water bill in as we have to pay for this - 'Up North' some water bills doubled !!!!

I'll give you £6 for it Sipie

[mine of useless info mode on]

If you see coils of blue pipe beside the road works, it's water being worked on, green is cable.. ummmm.. no idea what gas or electric is though !!

[mine of useless info mode off]

OK, I think I've bored you enough ! Sipie - go and see Theo's car - it is a beaut.. much nicer blue than the DBM too

Thanks for that Kart-man....

at least I now know my water pipes from my electricity It's true what they say----you learn something new every day

£6..... Not bad offer, but do you mind if I mull it over and get back to you tomorrow

Yeah will get in touch with Theo re this car. The only slight thing is that I think othe DMB draws a little less attention to itself IMHO.... Depends on what you're after I suppose

SiPie,

All the attention I get is GOOD attention mate.
I don't get hassle like Kenny does (or is he the one doing the baiting? ) with the MP brigade.
In fact cars generally move out the way when she approaches (not at speed, you understand ) and the kids love it, waving and stuff.
Longing looks from Dad's who've gone for the 'pipe and slippers' option....hang on, I'll be one of them soon....damn!

If you want it, just promise me you'll look after it...and I can come round for a shot whenever I want....

Wish I had taken it on track though with the mods.
