Hi John,

Readin thru' the blurb on the Origin website and reading some reviews on the Uk Speedtrap site the origin is being updated so that a verbal/Visual warning lets you know which way a camera is facing.
The origin unit also covers TruVelo, speedmaster and Specs installations along with the prospect of wheelie bin gatso's

Thanks for the offer of a loan mate, but I think I'm sold on the origin. Time to bend the plastic again I'm meant to be saving money with a Tdi.
Four years of scoobs and an evo and not a sniff of a speeding fine. Bring on the derv monster and it's open day on my as$ !!

...John

Question

After a few moments while travelling down south, which may give rise to a 'NIP' dropping thru' my door in the near future, I'm looking at these GPS warning devices.
Do any of you operate one of the following...

- Geodesy...morpheous or the new road pilot
- Origin Blue i

Reading ito them the Origin Blue seems the better deal for cover and money.

Anyone throw some light on the worth of these at upwards of £400 and do they really work....although that's academic for me now.

John, I have a Morpheus Geodesy. I find it very good. Never much liked using a Radar Detector because they are going off all the time with false signal and basically I don't find driving with one relaxing. No such problem with the GPS systems of course.
The only rel critisism I have of it is that it is not aware which direction the camera if facing. So for example on the road from Dundee to Aberdeen you find yourself slowing twice as much as you actually have to (not knowing the road or camera locations very well).
If you want to borrow it to try it out feel free.

Wink

Moses, I'll be changing the car probably late next year, once the house has stopped eating the money.

As to what I'll get...who knows?? Won't be another tractor though!!

John,

How r u ? (sorry 2 hijack the thread bud)
R they pix 4 real?
If they are just thinking the cameras are not very secure are they?
U`d think some 1 may be inclined to attach 1 to the back of their car n take it for a drive down the motorway for a larf then return it

Pete
