Just wondering if some one can help,my car was serviced last week, now i have this starting problem,it's was slow turning over, then today it would not start, i had to jump start it.
a friend used a voltmeter on the battery, had a good reading until
put on lights and heater then the reading dropped. he noticed the new waxing beside the battery, i told him the car had it's 5th
year body service done as well. We felt that the battery should have been checked when the service was done, but must not of happened as the levels are low on the battery.
I am will phone the garage tomorrow and see what they have to say.
oh! my car is a 97R turbo.
cheers greg

I could be wrong but it sounds like your battery has just died, this often happens suddenly when the first cold days arrive. 4-5 years is about right for the lifetime of a battery.
One other thing it could be is that the battery isn't making good contact with the vehicle earth points after the waxing was done.
