What way do you plan to travel?

Could meet in Glasgow somewhere central. The Quay has been used a couple of times as a meeting place.

Murray, it's Troon you're from isn't it? Just head up the dual carraigeway till you get to the end. You'll see the Safeway and B&Q car park. As Steph says about 9:30.
Douglas, we could meet up about 10:30 in Glasgow. How many do you reckon from your area? What quay do you mean, Anderston?

Take J22 off M8 (East Kilbride turnoff) and it drops you down to the lights across from Springfield Quay. BK in there for breakfast opportunities.

Don't know when the day kicks off at KH, but will find out.

Doug, the day kicks off at noon. If you plan on taking out any of the demonstrators or the off road experience, this has to be booked at the event it cannot be prebooked. So I suppose the earlier before 12 the better.

Question

Who's going to be Rubber Duck?

Me and a few friends should be leaving from Paisley, so would probably be able to meet up at Glasgow.

A convoy sounds cool, I'll need to get a set of air horns!

Hello Folks,

Just got my scooby over 2 weeks ago. Haven't met a single person yet, so wondered if you'd mind me tagging along for the convoy?

I can also join at Showcase Cinema on M8 or M73 Airdrie roundabout, of you are going this way.

Cheers,
Marky-San

Well guys, it looks like we're going to have enough people for a good sized convoy so we will have to finalise details.
Suggested meeting points and times so far, Ayrshire Stevenston B&Q car park leaving at 09:30, Glasgow, Springfield Quay leaving at 10:30 Any other suggested meeting points along the route?
Route, I suppose the M8, M80/A80 M876 to Kincardine bridge is the best route from Glasgow.
I assume everybody knows how to get to Knockhill but if anyone doesn't then I suggest that they be in the middle of the group. If we all keep an eye on the car behind we can then signal to the car in front that someone has fallen behind. That way the convoy can stick together. One more thing, a group of Impreza's this size is likely to draw attention to ourselves, so we don't want the wrong kind of attention from Mr. Plod. Keep to the limits guys.
Should look pretty impressive.

I agree with Bladerider, we will attract attention and it is important for people to drive in a safe and sensible manner.

Once grouped, overtaking amongst each other is discouraged and a reasonable pace is recommended.

See you all Sunday!

Guys, before I forget.

If any of you haven't been on the A80 recently, we have 2 new speed cameras to be wary off - 1 is at the petrol station just past Crow wood gold course, just as you enter the 30mph zone - right before the traffic lights. The other is approx 1 mile along the road at Mollinsburn, the next 30 zone, before the light, again just be aware of it.

Painted them that highly visible dark blue colour - divvy's!!

Not like you to miss a corner m8.

Just trying to be a sensible law abiding SIDC member. Don't want to get banned now do I?

We will stop at a large car park giving you plenty of opportunity to show people how not to do do-nuts!

Don't you scare all the s away.

It was really just an excuse for a pint. Anyway I'll run this idea by y'all. When we're all gathered at Springfield Quay we could maybe try and get a group picture in the Daily Record motoring section for the following Friday. What d'ye think guys?

Thats Wax Wizard for ye! I thought it was you, wasn't sure though.
Did you hear the comments people in the town were shouting. If it's like that with two cars think what it'll be like on Sunday.
