We are putting a team together and need some more people for the below karting event......
Raceland charity 6 hour endurance race.
Next Sunday - 25th August 2002 - 9am to 6pm
1 Hour Practice
6 Hour Non Stop Endurance Race
The Cost - £42.50 each (if we get 10 drivers)
£150 of the total from each team goes directly to the Sick Kids Hospital in Edinburgh.
The race will be held at Raceland (near Haddington) which is (IMHO) the best, most organised track in Scotland.
The event is held on their 900 metre outdoor track and will be using their new twin engined karts.
Anyone interested in joining our team please post here, or mail me as per profile.
It'll be a fun event and you can help raise some cash for a worthy cause at the same time
We don't take the event too seriously, but we do intend to win at all costs
C'mon Saxo Boy, Devils Refugee, SiPie - you know you want to ???

Hi
At the moment its just me and kartman but we only decided about an hour ago to put a team in. We have a list of about 15 people we think would be interested - but happy to take people on a first come-first served basis. - so shall I count you in ?? - how many of you ??
Yes - the maximum is 10.

Come on everyone, this is an ideal opportunity to take part ni a fantastic karting event and help raise some money for a good cause at the same time
I have been planning to run another endurance karting event at Raceland for a while, but haven't had the time to sort it all out, so please attend this one instead. Lots of karting time to be had

A bit more info ...
The event is a 6 hour endurance race where teams of up to 10 drivers share one kart (not at the same time though ). You can split the driving up any way you like. To win you really need to split the driving into 10 equal sessions (35 mins each roughly), but to be honest it's not as much fun so we tend to give everyone at least 2 shorter blasts. It's really up to the individuals in the team, so we can discuss this once the team is formed.
If you want more info on the track, check out their website at :
www.raceland.co.uk
I can give you some tips about the traack on the day, as I race there a fair bit so don't be put off if you haven't raced there before.
Drop in your names ASAP so we can get the entry in.
Cheers
Dave

Has anyone entered teams yet? If not it would be well worth your while giving Colin Black a ring at raceland to make sure your entry is registered.
He was on the phone to me just now unfortuneatly I can't go ..

Thanks Willie.
Sadly there hasn't been enough interest to put a team together from here, but if anyone still fancies it, call Raceland directly and ask if they have any teams you can join. That's what I just did and I'm currently in a team of 6 (more track time, but a bit more expensive).
Their number is 0131 665 6525.
Hopefully see some of you there
