Was chatting to Dr Banks about getting these done last night and he highly recommended both. I think the tracking is screwed after hitting a monster pothole (actually crater) on the A9 so I figure if I get the geometry done it'll involve tracking adjustments anyway.
I don't know much about these in terms of whats involved, what they do and whether they are worth it so I'd appreciate thoughts and comments.
I'd also like to know where I can get it done and likely costs involved.
AND.........I'm looking for nice floor mats that were specifically designed for the scooby. Don't want to get silly with the money here but I'm willing to pay for nice smart ones that will last
Cheers peeps
BTW, get used to this as I've got lots of modifying, etc querries to come

Okay, while we have the question raised (thanks Saxoboy - hope you're enjoynig the car )...
Who's had the bumpsteer mod done at Falkland?
Any comments on it good or bad?
Any comparison to Power Stations bumpsteer mod or are they identical?
As Falkland are a local specialist, I'd like to use them:
- because it's more conventient.
- because I want to support a (relatively) local business.
Thanks
Rich

I had my boost gauge put in at Falkland and they did a good job. I think I remember John Banks saying that he had the bump steer, etc put in at Falklands and I can't see John going somewhere that doesn't do the business right. He's best to comment though of course.

I had bump steer done @ Falklands a few months back, can't really tell how big a difference it made cos I got Eibachs fitted (at AWD) the same day, and fitted 17's with Goodyear F1-D3 tyres a few days B4 this
But I can say that the combined work made a dramatic improvement, turn in is much sharper, steering seems to react quicker and understeer has all but gone, and there's much less body roll round corners.

As Stuart. Also with 17s the combo is superb for not massive outlay. Way outclasses my driving skill and with good rubber copes admirably with biggish power. Car feels quite well balanced - ie right amount of power for the chassis. I'd say that with the handling mods it feels as stable with say +45% power as it did on standard power without the handling mods.

Slightly off topic here peebs
But i`m gonna chuck something in the ring here re handling.
Something that i found made a huge difference a long time ago was fitting uprated swaybar links and an anti dive / anti lift kit.
This again doesn`t cost much doughnuts, but copes vwell with significant power increases

Had the mod. done at Falkland.
Also had MRT solid drop-links and H&Rs fitted.(not at Falkland)
Less understeer and much more steady under heavy breaking.
Hope to go back soon for a re-check as car feels a bit unconnected at the moment.

Regarding your other query - try Autostyle for your mats. Plain or piped to match the motor with aluminium heel plates. Excellent. Try the diplomat range. I've had one set in the car for 2 years & still look good.

I've just put in a set of autostyle mats .. diplomat range, black with royal blue piping and drivers heel pad.
Had Turbo AWD motif put on as well. Paid about 60 odd quid (well I didn't it was a pressie ). The motif's are about 20 quid though
Very good fit and look substantial (mine were clean for about 5 seconds till my wife put her muddy size 3's on them ... nooooooo! )
Oh on another note even 17's and geometry (on standard suspension) made quite a difference to the handling od my wagon, much sharper turn in.
Doofus.

Dougster, just to let you know got my geometry done at Falkland last week and the car handled like a bag of tatties. Went back to them and it came out the same. Im not slagging Falkland as i had it done twice before but they thought that the tracker may be out. Ended up getting it done again at Target Tyres in Perth who I must say are brill. They have a state-of-art tracking machine and they have the prodrive settings.

I live in Bishopton and there is 3 scoobs in my estate. The local garage also has two rally prepared scoobs - one was out in the village at the weekend. My girlfriend thought my car was loud!
Drop us an email if your ever up for a wee trip but will probably be going to Kames. Let me know how you get on at Falkland.

Assuming you haven't already been to falkland, drop me a email at awilcockson@hotmail.com and I'll reply with my experience of Falkland (lack of) Performance.
I've also got a couple of emails from other people who had some nast experiences.
Can't say any more, or the thread will dissapear like my original thread on the topic.
Thanks,
Andrew.
