Does anyone know. Is there a site informing you of the latest roll out in Scotland?

Paisley Road West in Cardonald told me June 21st. I think they were worried that I'd panic when my regular pump change fuel...

Geeze, you never said you were only a couple of K in at crail. No wonder I beat you. If it helps I got thrashed by Mikes Clio the other day, Saxo was going like a bag of hammers that day for some reason. I found the VTS came good at about 15k and then just perfect at about 25k just after its service

I find that sometimes with the clio, sometimes it couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding. I dunno, maybe it's a french car trait!

I find my car relies on good quality cold air. When its 'crisp' cold outside it flies.....until....you boot it for 10mins then heatsoak become an issue

Clios, Saxos, I'm on the wrong BBS!

How are you boys? Was on to Shell customer services this morning who can give you launch dates for your postal code area. Call them on 0800 7318888 and they will be happy to oblige.

Dates for launch with Ferrari in my area-

Kirkintilloch 3rd July
Bishopbriggs 4th July
Swithchback(personal favorite) 5th July
They also gave me an earlier date for the Hillfoot garage but he will probably price it similar to the SUL he sells at the moment for 87.9p although I may pop in to find out.

Watch this space.

Refined in Cheshire.

Anyone in the business know why it can't/couldn't be done in Grangemouth, then we could have had all the fun first.

Grangemouth depot is BP fuel, then 3rd party companies have to blend their own additives to eventually produce their brand of fuel. I can only assume that Shell Optimax contains a special additive during the refining process to make it unique !!!! Then again it could be that Shell UK have recently launched this fuel in Scotland and are just getting round to modifying forecourt pumps. This has happened recently with lpg pumps in Scotland over last 12-18 months.

Another possibility - It maybe pulled out of North Sea then transported to Grangemouth via pipeline but crude oil is shipped around the UK from G/mouth to the other refineries around the UK.

Optimax on our door-step.

Confirmed today with our local Shell garage, who don't even carry SUL at the moment, that they will have Optimax in stock on the 20th June.

Yoker here we come!!

I have used shell sup from the same garage(kirkcaldy),for over a year and have felt that the car has been running better for the last couple of months.I am wondering if optimax is in the pump and they are just flushing the old sup out slowly.anyone else using shell sup, noticed their car going better lately?

John

Having transported this stuff around in clear drums for the past few months I can say that it is 'greener' than the SUL from Shell. It even looked greenish from the filling hose at the station.
Don't know if you noticed ?

Just filled up from Stirling, Borestone Crescent along from Police HQ. 77.9p a litre and is higher than 98RON claiming the highest RON rating available in UK. Schumi's 2000 championship winning car will be on display at this garage on Tuesday 18th June.

Cool

Optimax has been available in Jedburgh and Lauder for about 10dys.
It is often in the super tanks at Shell stations well in advance of the official launch.
When that happened at my local garage I new something was different and wondered if I had absent mindedly over added booster.
I then found the fuel had changed and have reduced the NF I add from 100mls per 55ish litres to 50mls.

Lanark launch today.

Handing out leaflets in the fore-court but already had some.

Only in for air and a swatch at the Elise(grey on a Y)sitting between the pumps.

Anyone on here?

Thumbs up

It's at my local garage too (Newmains, Wishaw). Just got some "go-go juice" on the way home. Looks like it'll be at every garage soon
