Brake master cylinder upgrade
I recently posted this in the brakes section but, only had one person replying. So thought id try here as well.
Hi, I've just up graded the rear calipers on my99 uk turbo to subaru 2 pots. As one of my 1 pot calipers was siezed.
I'm having a problem with alot of travel in my brake pedal. I've bled the system twice now. With no air coming through at all the second time.
Do I need to upgrade the master cylinder to 1 1/16 to cope. I know its only 2 extra pistons, but could this help with the problem??
I've had a quick search some people say yes, others say they have no problem even with up grading to brembos/ksports etc.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

I Think you could have a problem with your brake master cylinder,A upgrade to a later spec one should definitely help your situation, but have to agree if your one is functioning properly,it should not really matter and should still work fine with the four pots/two pot set up,as on my wife's car she is running the early BMC with Brembo calipers allround and they function superbly.SJ.
