Newbie - 55 Blobeye WRX - Now with couple of Pics
Hello all,
Just thought that I would say hi, I am currently in the process of buying an 05 Blobeye WRX saloon in Black which I hope to have in my possession in the next week.
The car is completely standard but for the following:
Uprated Dump Valve
Prodrive Performance Pack with Certificate
No big plans for the car, but down the line I think that I will look to make a couple of changes, namely change of wheels and a drop.
No doubt over the future I will be asking for peoples advise so thanks in advance.
Pictures will follow once I get the car.
Gurj

Nice one! I'm sure you'll love it and they will soon be a list of mods you want to do to it. The de-tango of the headlights (removing the orange lenses) always makes them look better to me. Hope you get a good egg like I did.

Hi and welcome!
Always liked the black newage cars and they look especially fantastic when gleaming clean, I'm sure there will be plenty you want to do with it over time, I'm resisting the urge and trying to keep mine super clean and OEM exactly as subaru intended but it is hard as once you start with any mods it's a slippery slope and an empty wallet
Good luck and look forward to some pics!

Hello again,
It has been a while since my last comment on this board and well things have certainly changed.
Sadly there have been a number of issues in relation to getting the Black Impreza that I was after, with the whole thing taking an age because of issues out of my control.
As such I went on searching for another car and found one....
55 Reg
Blue
54k miles
FSH (mostly Subaru dealers)
Prodrive Performance Pack (with Certificate)
18 inch Oz Superleggra Alloys
So earlier this week I went to see it and following a visual inspection and test drive I bought it.
OK so its not black, but I have to admit that I do like the look of this one. It has been modified by others, but I feel that the mods done are subtle, and so not over the top and I can confirm it is damn fast compared to all the others cars I have driven its fast!!! (with the exception of a massively modified e36 M3).
Overall as luck would have it this car appears to have saved me a fair bit of money as it has already been modified in all the areas that I was originally thinking I would modify and the icing on the cake being that this car cost me less than the original car I was looking to get and has 20K less miles than the original car.
This then leaves me to concentrate on the mechanicals and making it shine
Given the fact that I still have a lot to learn about these cars I am hoping that I got a good one.
So the plan of attack is to get it services in the next month (hopefully at Richard Henry Motorsport - so if someone on this forum works there, see you soon) and get it checked over to see exactly what I have just bought.
To say I am over the moon is an understatement
So here is to fun ownership of an almighty Impreza!!!!
